The first thing I am doing is editing my images as that will most likely take the longest thing to do. In the images, I have cropped them as they had things in the background. I then went to blur the edges of the images so that the food stands out more. I also worked on the lighting of the image because the lighting seemed too bright. I have used the healing spot tool on the reflection of the food so that it is not as visible as before. In many of the images, I worked on hue and saturation because I thought that the reds in the image could be a bit redder than in the original image. When editing the lamb chops image I had to brighten the image more than it was. With the other images, I took the same process I did before. with the traybake I removed the background as the background was not the same as the other images I took. I created a barcode for my magazine and I followed a youtube tutorial that helped me a lot.

Today is the first day of post-production. The first thing I did was editing my images as that could take time to edit. I did this because the images I needed to edit some of the things out by using different tools like blur and spot healing. I then took screenshots of the different techniques that I did to show the process that I did. During lunch, I was not in the room so another class was in here but I did not have many images left to edit so I left the hardest one to last as that one took the most time. I edited my images today so that I can focus the rest of my attention on designing my magazine and getting audience feedback. Tomorrow I will start to design the separate pages for my magazine

Today I continued to edit my photos as I thought they could be better. In the images I removed the background and used the eraser to tidy up the photo. I then went onto editing my pages. I started with the front cover and then went on to doing the different pages for the recipes as I could copy and paste that into photoshop. I did this so that I can finish editing my magazine ontime. I had my fourth progress review where I completed almost everything that needed to be completed.

With this version of my magazine I like the font I used because they are easy to read and it relates to a cooking theme. I also like the content that I included. I dislike the colour because it doesn't make me think about a cooking magazine and it is to bright. I also dislike the layout. It doesn't look like a cooking magazine so if I look at professional cooking magazine they use one colour and the layout is more structured than these are. I dislike how the images were edited because they look like they are floating on air. I would chang the layout so that it fills the page more than it is. I would also change the colour of the magazine as it is to dark colour so that the background of the magazine page matches the images background.

In the images, I used many different skills and tools in photoshop. I wanted to keep my pictures close to the original pictures. I used the spot healing tool to make on the images to take away any imperfections on them for example smudge on the background or the reflection of the food. I then used the blur tool to blur out what I could not erase with the eraser tool. I then also used the crop tool because there was too much background in the image. As some of the images are to bright I used the adjustment of brightness and contrasts to bring the brightness down but not making it look to dark. I also made the same adjustments but making them brighter for example the lamb chops were I made sure that it was transparent so that when I place it on my magazine page I would not have any of the original backgrounds. I also used the transformed square to make the image fit the page properly I also made sure that I placed it on the page properly so that it is not hanging off the page. I had to use many different editing skills that I have developed over the years of studying media. I had to use my time management skills so that I use my time wisely and make sure that I did not spend a lot of time editing one image. I had to pay attention to detail so that I could edit the images to the best of my ability and that I did not miss anything on the images.

Today we are in self isolation this week and that has put post-production on a delay. I was not able to edit the rest of my magazine as I do not have the InDesign but I have photoshop which kept crashing. As I could not edit I then went on to do my final evaluation in detail. I had to send my mum to collect the laptop from college. I got the laptop and adobe was not working so I contacted Tracey about it. I then continued with my evaluation. I did this so that when it comes to next week I am prepared to edit the rest of my magazine. Tomorrow I will continue to work on my evaluation and planning for my screening

Today I continued with what I can can on my final evaluation because I felt like I can add more detail. I thought that I could have added more examples of different situations that happened in this units. After I finshed adding more detail and those examples to my evaluation I then started to look at different screening ideas that could potentially be the one for my screening. I looked at those different ideas and I did not like them so I continued to look at different ideas that I was thinking about after looking at the previous ideas. Tomorrow I will continue to look at potential ideas for my screening

Today I continued to work on what I started yesterday. I looked at potential ideas for my screening that were creative. I did this because we have to do research into different ideas. I think that this will help me decide what I want to do. I then continued to work on what I did not complete from my last progress review. Doing this will help me to be up to date with my work. I then re-read my final evaluation to see what I can improve on and where I could add more detail. I also continued on to the next section of my final evaluation.
Screening Ideas
I could do the idea of presenting my magazine like in dragons den or the apprentice. While I am presenting my magazine I would have them try food samples while I present my magazine and have them looking at my magazine. I will talk about the process, why I chose these recipes and why I decided to do this idea. Near the end of my presentation, I will have them fill out my feedback cards. On the feedback cards, I want them to answer the questions like what are the strengths and the weaknesses of my magazine and if I could improve on anything. The way I want to set up the classroom is something similar to the apprentice and the dragon's den. I want to be informal in the presentation as it will be more enjoyable. I want to present freeform because I want to be able to talk in a creative way and not have my answers set out. I could do a Q&A section after they look at my magazine. With this idea, I would need to purchase the ingredients for the recipes and the magazine.

Today I finished editing my magazine. I then continued to email creamers about printing my email. I then shared my audience feedback on Reddit and got ten responses so far. I then went to continue my research on my screening because I needed to do research on my idea. I looked at different presenting styles and which presenting style I want to use in my presentation. I then looked at what I can do in my presentation, for example, standing up in front of the class or sitting down Tomorrow I will continue to do what I did not finish today for example my audience feedback.
I could do this idea of doing a reading corner where it has bean bags, cushions, feedback cards but they will have food samples of the different recipes. Everything has a cost so I have to think of the cheapest way of doing this idea. I may not need to buy everything as I might have some of the things I need at home. I will need to look at alternatives for the bean bags because of the cost of them. Looking at the cost of bean bags I need to think of alternatives like the chairs in the classroom. I was thinking that I would add some fairy lights and cushions so that it is comfy. I am thinking of looking at doing food samples of the recipes from my magazine. With the feedback cards, I am thinking of having a box where they write their feedback and put it in the box. On the feedback card, I will have questions asking strengths and weaknesses of my product and what I could improve on. I thought that they could sit in a group of 3. I would need to buy the bean bag, the ingredients for the recipes and the magazine. To display the food I could use chafing dishes or another way to present the food.
Final idea
My final idea for the screening is going to be a reading corner. In the reading corner, I am going to pass my magazine around the room. I will have food samples that they can try while they read my magazine. I decided to do a brief introduction talking about my magazine. As I am printing my magazine I will place my magazine around the room while they get food samples. I am going to do feedback cards where I ask them what they like and dislike about my magazine and if I can improve on anything. On the board, I am going to have a slide on the board about my magazine. I am going to design my feedback cards and print them off so that they can write their feedback down. I will need to find a small box so they can put their feedback in the box if I can not find a box I will just get them to put the cards in the middle of the table.

Today I finished off my screening research. To do this I added pictures my research and typed up my final idea of what I wanted to do for my screening in detail. I then created my feedback cards on canvas. On my feedback cards, I made sure that I asked for their feedback and that will help me. I then started to analyse the audience feedback that I gained. I then worked through my website making sure that everything that was missing from my previous progress review was done. I then got my progress review and that I need to add to my website. I got told that I would need to come in on Monday so that I can recreate my magazine so that it is better than what I have created.

Today is work from home today. Today I went through my recent progress review and completed everything to the best of my ability making sure that it was there and detailed. I continued to work though the audience feedback that I was not able to finish. After I completed that I then went on to finishing my final evaluation in detail by adding more detail to different points. I felt that different point could have used more details or examples of a specific task that I did. I also added more examples of what I did in pre-production, production and post production and what I did to achieve the task. I then went to make sure that everything for my screening was uploaded to my website. I did this because I needed to add more detail to my final evaluation and my website.
I asked this question because I wanted to know what they liked about the pages. I think that I could have gotten more of an answer if I asked why I could have gotten more detail. I think that these were effective to my work because I think that they like those things in my magazine. This will help me know that I don't need to change it. The answers are repeated in this question like the font, the colour, the layout and the images.

I could have asked why to get more detail about the dislikes. Today I went through my progress review of what I had left. I did this so that I don't have much left to do before the deadlineI had to get audience feedback so I posted my questionnaire on Reddit and on over forums. I got a total of 30 responses in total. I waited to get responses throughout the day at the end I got all the responses I needed to get. I then started to do write up my audience feedback and took screenshots. I did this because I needed to see the responses and how the responses will help my work.

Today is the last day of being in the college building. Today we had to do our screenings. I was pretty confident that my screening will go well as I was not nervous. I was excited to share my work with the rest of the class. I brought in food samples and they enjoyed it. I was able to present my work better this time as I felt more confident. The day went smoothly I really enjoyed watching the different projects. After all the screenings took place I then went on to upload my feedback and the recording of my screening to my website. I then did a write up on my screening. In the write-up, I wrote about what went well and how I felt. I wrote about the feedback that I gained from the class.
