Pre-production

For this unit I chose to do 3 double page spreads.  my magazine double page I thought that I can include reviews of movies and tv shows. For this I wont need to conduct an interview but I will capture some images of the tv show or the movie. I can capture screen shots of the film or the tv show of the different characters or a particular scene. Another idea I thought of was having different trends like fashion and make up. I wont  need to conduct an interview for this one as well but for the visual part I will take photos fashion trends and make up trends. For the make up trends I will use a model so I can take the pictures. I then thought that I  could a bucket list of things that people could do after covid-19. I thought could get images of the internet of what is on the bucket list. The software I could use for this as I don't have access to photoshop I will use photopea. I don't know this software so I will need to watch tutorials so I can use this software.

Fashion

Female:

  • Puff  sleeves- They are exaggerated, big and bold. They are easy to style and have in your wardrobe.

  • Pastels-They are a good style for summer. You can get a wide variety of colours and styles.

  • Baseball caps-  They are a must have accessory to have . 

  • Mellow yellows- is for summer as the colour pops. This trend can easily be found.

Male:

  • New utility- is high functional for spring and summer

  • Bermuda shorts- They make a statement. They are starting to make an appearance

  • Pastels- They are easy to style and you can wear them more than once.

  • Acid pops- They are bright colours so they stand out.

Make up trends

  • Red orange lips- They are bright red lip stick mixed with an orange lipstick.

  • Electric blue eyeliner- It is bold colour. It helps brighten the look.

  • Emerald Smokey eye- It stands out . The trend is all about colour.

  • Blue eyeshadow- It is a bold trend that stands out.

  • Highlighter pop- it allows  them have a glow and allows them to stand out

The covid-19 bucket list:​

There are many different things we can do when we covid is over. Many of us can hang out with our friends and do different things like sleep over and more. We can go shopping with out waiting to go in to the shop. We can go to theme parks. We can use public transport . we will be able to travel around the world. Music concerts and festivals can take place. You will be able to have events and book places. You will be able to have more opportunities. You can eat in restaurants. There will be no curfew. You can go to schools normally.  You can be in a live audience on a tv show. 

Target audience

My primary target audience will be between the ages of 18-21 this would appeal to female as the are my main target. They can Secondary target  audience will be in 15-17 years old  who is a male as it would appeal  to them as well. My tertiary target audience will be 22 and older who is both males and females as it appeals to both of genders.  The target audience can from any family size they could be from a big family with siblings or they could be an only child. They would be interested because the topics that are being included in my magazine does not mean they would not enjoy the magazine.  The marital status of the target audience would be married, dating, single or in a complicated relationship.  They can be of any ethnicity or religion. They could be studying at university or be in there last year of college starting university. The can either live with their parents, by them selves or they could live at there university accommodation. They could live in a town, city or the countryside. Primary target audience would be part of the working class that is D1 and E they might have a job and starting university. For my secondary target audience would be part of C1,C2 D and E as they could be at university and have a job . Tertiary target audience will be in D and E as they could be studying and have a job at the same time. Mosaic profiling for my target audience is B08,O65 and O66.

Software

As I don't have access to photoshop  I will be using an alternative I looked into the different software's  I chose Photopea as the software. I will use YouTube to find tutorials. I started to find some tutorials and I will use them to gain more knowledge on how to use Photopea

4/02/2021

Today I presented my presentation that I prepared yesterday. I made sure that I practiced so that I  am confident at that I wont make any mistakes. After presenting I got feedback that I should have put more pictures of my interview questions and questionnaire questions so that there is more proof of the results I got from my interview and the questionnaire. I then went on to work on to work on my production research. Researching into my production idea will help me know more about the topics that  I have chose. Doing the research will help me know my idea more and  to complete my proposal in detail. Doing the different tasks will help my idea and for me to know what I should include for my idea.

Photopea

Is an alternative  editing software to photoshop. It  is easy to use for beginners. You can easy access it on the internet  and free to use where as with photo shop yo have to pay for a subscription and download it on your computer. Photopea has the same tools as photoshop.  Photopea  supports many different image formats. It supports photoshop templates as well.  Photopea and photoshop are very similar in many ways. You can link it too your google account to save your current projects.

5/02/2021

Today we registered at 10 rather than 9.30 as I was in maths. I continued to work on my  research  that I started yesterday.  I looked into more things I can add to the covid 19 bucket list. I did this so that I know what I can include in the magazine. As the day continued we got introduced to the proposal  we had to do in the unit. We got told how to do the proposal. We have  to complete a first draft and send them over to Tracey.  The proposal was different to the one we did in the last couple of units. We did the proposal so we can tell my idea in more detail.

Colour Swatches

I wanted colours that would appeal to both gender. I want my colour scheme to be light but I want it to have a pop of colour so that it doesn't seem boring and not catch peoples attention

10/02/2021

Today we started pre-production. The first task that we had to do is to create a pre-production list so we know what pre-production paperwork we need to for this unit. The first thing that I completed on my list was font justification. I did this so that I  can see the different fonts  that I can chose  for my headlines and my body font. I then went on to work on my colour swatches. I chose different colour schemes for my double page spreads . I like the light colours with a pop of colour for my double page spread.

Today I continued to work on my pre-production list. I completed my mood board  and risk assessment.  I did the different paperwork so that I can show that I have completed a risk assessment and that I know what the risks.  I also did the mood board to show what I am going to include in my magazine. I started to my location release the only thing that I need to do so that I can finish this is take a screen shot of google maps which is not working on my laptop at the moment. I did the location release so that I get permission to take pictures at the location. I still need to complete my draft and final copies of my articles. I will do this at half term.

Today I continued to work on my pre-production list. I I started to write my different articles. I started to write them rough. I read back through my articles and made changes like spelling, grammar and changing words. Doing this will help me to improve my English and making the different changes to my

articles better. I also did my page layout where I created different page layouts for my double page spread so that they are all different so people that read my double page spread don't get bored reading it. Doing this it will help my magazine to be different to other.
