Pitch Evaluation

The feedback that we received was that the Russian accent may be offensive to some people or it may be taken as a negative stereotype. We got told that we should rethink our prize of being a medal and a bar of chocolate. We should think of something more impressive that is worth being won so the stakes are high. The prize could be something comical as well.  The medal was a good idea because it adds a good visual element to announce and reward the winners.  We should think more into what the host is going to wear. We should make the idea of our name clear in the introduction and point out the theft part of the game show and throughout the show. A suggestion that  we were told was that one of the final rounds that is towards the end of the game show we tell the team who  is trailing behind this would give them the opportunity to steal points form the leading team this gives the game show more jeopardy and tension. Th strength is that we knew what we were talking at. The pitch was detailed, and the points were justified. The points were supported with clear points. The game show concept is clear and well thought out. We were able to give drawings of how we wanted the set design to be. The montage was good and gave ideas of what we as group want our game show to be like. The target audience was clear to understand.  Some slides had to much text on it.  We only said what time the show will be on and what channel but not what day. We need to improve on the speed we talk at. We as a group should have provided an example of the Russian accent. We should have provided a picture or said how the host will be dressed. I think that I performed well except for I was nervous, but I think that didn’t come across as strong as it wold normally come over. I think that I have improved from unit 5 because I felt a bit more confident because I practiced what I was going to say.  We changed the idea of our prize from being a medal and a bar to a framed photograph of our host and signed by our host. Our final idea is that we have six rounds and a bonus round.  Which are sports, pop culture, guess the movie, guess the flag and spin the wheel. There will be two teams with three people on them. What I need to do next is to do the things that I was assigned to.  The next thing we need to do as a group is figure out our budget, buy our props and set design and do the paperwork.
