Work experience
For work experience this year we have been put into groups.
In the groups we have each been assigned a production role. We are doing our work experience down at enterprise way. We as a group have been assigned to a tutor and with that tutor we to create videos for the course they teach.

The task that we completed was the health and safety video that Sachit wanted use to create. My role in the group is sound and lighting. The day was successful because we were able to record the video. The next step moving forward would be planning for the next video we need to create.

Today we had a meeting on Microsoft teams with Sachit about what we are going to film next week. He explained about the products and what wants to include in the video. He if any of the things he suggested was possible.

Today we cam to college to collect the equipment and then we went down to Enterprise way. When we got down there we set up equipment while Sachit went to get the products he then told us what products he is going to use and explained them to us. We filmed then products.

Today We had another planning meeting on Microsoft teams.Sachit wants to film 4 videos. The videos are many. We got told that we have to reshoot the health and safety video as we dont have the footage.

Today we were meant to film at enterprise way but we could not film the videos we need to film due to that Sachit had to cover lessons as a staff member was off work.

Today we went to film the videos that we could not film last week. We filmed more than one video. They were about different things. Sachit worked on a car in the videos to demonstrate what he was talking about.

Tell me about a number of times you worked well as a team
I have done multiple projects where I have to work in a group. In level two media I had to do more than one project in a group and they both went well. One of the projects that I had to do was to create a fictional film. I also worked in a group to create a documentary. While creating the different projects we were able to communicate with each other and work as a team to complete the different tasks. In level 3 media year one I had to work in a group in the music video unit and the game show unit. In the unit we had to communicate and work as team so that we can share our ideas with each other so that we can complete the task. In level three media we had to work in groups in the characteristics and context unit and engaging with an audience. In characteristics and context unit we had to split into groups but in the next unit engaging with an audience we had to work as a whole class with both these units we had to communicate and work as a team so that the task goes ahead as plan.

Would you consider yourself easy to work with?
I am a very quite when working in a group so I don't share my ideas unless I have to and I don't talk to my classmates unless they are in my group. I also go with the ideas that the rest of the group likes. Other than being quite I do consider myself easy to work with as I get all my work done. For example unit 9 in level three media I was in a group and I went with the ideas that the rest of the group liked

Do you feel confident to actively contribute your ideas to the team?
I sometimes do feel confident to share my ideas but I am very quiet. I go with the ideas that the rest of the group likes. I also contribute very short answers so that we can continue to the next task. This happens in every unit so to change it I will become more confident to share my ideas.

Tell me about the time you had to resolve a conflict within a team.
In the three years of media I don't think that there was any conflict within the group but we did have to solve different problems like in one of the units in previous units something doesn't go to plan or someone has fallen ill but to resolve them we work as a team to figure out how we are going to resolve them.

Tell me about a time where you had to give constructive criticism to a team member.
We had to give constructive criticism to a team member in the units where we worked as a team. In previous units we had to watch back the project that was created by the team member and fill out a peer feedback sheet and fill out the different aspects that is included in the the project.

Describe a time where you had to adapt to consider a team members view.
When we did music video in level three media year I had to see a team members point of view to try and understand what they were say. I had to adapt to their idea for the music video because the rest of the group like their idea more and that it was easier to make.
Work experience evaluation
For work experience we were put into different groups. In my group was Kelsi and Harris at first but as we continued on with work experience Harris left so Shamiam joined our group to take Harris place. We got assigned to a tutor that is based at enterprise way. The tutor worked in the mechanic area at enterprise way so we filmed tutorials for the As a group we worked well together. We made sure that the equipment was set up properly by helping each other. We did not really have any problems with our work experience as we were on time every week and got on with what we need to film. My role for work experience was sound. While doing the sound for the different videos It was alright but I had to figure out where should I put the boom pole without it being in the frame so to make sure that the boom pole does not end out in the frame I taped it to the table. Due to covid we finished work experience in December which was earlier than expected because we were not sure if we could continue with our work experience so at a later date we got told that we could not continue with our work experience.
